2 people have been plucked from the sea after their vessel started sinking off Fishbourne earlier this afternoon (Tuesday).
The casualty vessel was initially taken under tow by another boat, but assistance was requested when the operation became untenable.
Cowes RNLI lifeboat was launched at just before 13:30 following a tasking request from Solent Coastguard.
It didn’t take long for the volunteer lifeboat crew to locate the casualties near to Osborne Bay and Fishbourne in the middle of the Solent.
The man and woman, who were wearing lifejackets, were taken to Trinity Landing in Cowes where Coastguard Rescue Officers were waiting.
A marker buoy has been placed over the sunken Flying 15, to await recovery on Wednesday.

Well done RNLI again, where would the island be without you probably in an even worse state than it already is.
Your typical idiot islanders.
Cowes week. Overners in an old yacht design.
