Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes are hosting an open weekend at their developments in Shide on the Isle of Wight this weekend.
Mortgage experts will be on hand at St George’s Gate from 10:00 on Saturday (7th September) and Sunday (8th September) to help anyone buy their first home or move up the housing ladder.
The weekend also sees the opening of new 2 bedroom apartments to give buyers an insight into the style and quality of the homes.
Michelle Storer, Sales Director, says:
“We have a good mix of homes available to buyers looking to settle on the island and our mortgage advisors from London & Country will be on hand to help answer any questions.
“We know there is some uncertainty about what will happen at the end of October but for those looking to move the conditions are extremely attractive now.
“If people buy now they can fix their interest rate so there are no fears about rising rates and Help to Buy continues to prove a real benefit to anyone buying a new home.”
Current availability ranges from 2 bedroom apartments and houses priced from £157,500 on the Barratt Homes development and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes from David Wilson Homes.
With easy access to beautiful countryside, buyers at St George’s Gate enjoys a quiet retreat close to all local amenities. Island buyers my backside these will be scooped up by DFL’s as rental properties, or retirement for old people from the mainland. As they build these houses is there any sign of new doctors surgeries or local amenities or more money for at Mary’s hospital. And as they build more houses the charm of the island is disappearing and becoming just another urban jungle we just need a bridge to put the final nail in.
No bridge, and no more housing!
Give it 100 years and the island will sink!! All that will be left is a load druggies clinging to a rock.
A bit like like Ventnor and east cowes!!
It’s the worse workmanship I have every seen please don’t do it
