The much-anticipted line-up has been announced this morning after a patient 2-month wait by festival fans.
Lily Allen, Fat Boy Slim, Jess Glyne, Richard Ashcroft, Madness, Bastille, Rick Astley and Courteeners will also take to the stage at Seaclose Park in Newport this June.
Speaking on headlining The Isle of Wight Festival for the first time, George Ezra has said:
“It’s been less than 18 months since I was last at The Isle of Wight Festival, but it already seems like a world away. In the time since, my second album Staying At Tamara’s has been released and I’ve taken these songs around the world and back. It’s going to be brilliant to return to the beautiful Isle and play those new songs to an audience that has now heard the record.
“I’m extremely flattered to have been asked to headline and can’t wait to get up and play. See you soon!”
Smirnoff, the world’s most popular vodka brand, has been announced as the official vodka partner for the Isle of Wight Festival.
Last year’s event saw over 50,000 people descend on Seaclose Park under the gorgeous summer sunshine to see acts such as The Killers, Depeche Mode, The Script, Liam Gallagher and Nile Rodgers & Chic.
Tickets are to go on sale on Friday morning (25th January) at 09:00. However, Barclaycard users can secure tickets – and 10% back at the checkout – via an exclusive presale which is now on.
