Hampshire Constabulary has announced that no arrests have been made following a several hour long incident in Cowes that stretched into the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
As Island Echo first reported, Police and Ambulance teams responded to Sea View Road in Cowes after a Peugeot Expert van collided with a VW Scirocco before hitting a fence last night at around 23:00.
Both of the occupants of the van decamped and ran from the scene, with 1 of the males being found by officers in nearby bushes, and another evading capture despite a wide search of the area using police dogs and multiple officers on the ground.
1 male was taken to hospital by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service to be treated for injuries.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that no arrests have been made following the incident, and the man taken to hospital has since been discharged after receiving minor injuries.
