42-year-old Daisy Parsons, who is accused of causing the death of motorcyclist Gordon Endler by careless driving, appeared at the Crown Court this morning (Monday) – but the case has now been adjourned until July.
Parsons, of Chatfield Road in Niton, is charged with causing death by careless driving in relation to a fatal collision on Newport Road, Niton on 1st July 2020.
At a previous court hearing, it was detailed that Mr Endler was travelling on the outskirts of Whitwell when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a VW Transporter, driven by Parsons. The driver’s 11-year-old daughter was in the passenger seat at the time of the collision.
The court heard that Mr Endler died from chest injuries and his pillion passenger, Jacqueline Stewart, went into cardiac arrest at the scene. She was later placed into a coma but has suffered a brain injury.
Magistrates decided the case was too serious for them to deal with and sent the case up to the Crown Court, where Parsons appeared this morning. She did not enter any plea.
The matter has now been adjourned for a plea and trial preparation hearing to take place at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 25th July.

So what the hell was the point of today’s “hearing” then? Presumably she needs more time for her defense counsel to come up with some pathetic sob story excuse.
The reason she wont do any time, was sat in the passenger seat of that van.
Really will be playing the get out of jail free card.
How do you know what happened?
Were you there?
You are the pathetic ones – Trolling anonymously from your computer.
You people make me sick.
Agreed they are out of order, one day they might find themselves in similar bother. I have come out of that lane many times and you couldn’t see what’s coming to the right until you are on the road due to the undergrowth, which by the way was still not cut back for sometime after this horrific Accident. No driving under influence of drugs or drink ,not speeding here just a kind person and an Accident. If she was unlicensed, drugged up in an illegal car etc running from police- yes then fine need’s taking to Court. Please think about the partner of bike rider . Also about her children and family too before such cruel and inappropriate posts.
No you edge out a bit at a time till you can see clearly I do this every day coming out of my drive it’s call due care and attention,
Well Me.me an apt tag. Accidents happen.. Must be wonderful to be so perfect..
No not perfect just look
People that have “accidents” don’t generally get arrested for driving without due care and attention. I’m guessing she knows the defendant
You are absolutely right. I use that road many times over the years and I always take extra care and attention.
Unfortunately if a vehicles hits you , you would be at fault “blocking the highway”
They make me sick too!
What exactly are you trying to say ?
He is trying to say that she won’t go to prison as she has a young child.
Not sure if the same would apply if it was a man driving tho.
What right have you to make such a .moronic comment. Were you there or party to Court ‘decisions? Unless you were there keep your unfounded opinions to yourself! Hope to God you are never on Jury Ditg with your misconceived views!
Such vitriol. Tut, tut. I was asking what the point of the hearing was when nothing actually happened. Is that too hard for your little brain to grasp?
Paul, why not do something useful and positive and volunteer/train to become a magistrate, then you will understand the processes…
Or maybe, just maybe,
They might be giving her a little extra time to sort out her child care.
Gordon was very experienced rider and looking at the road it would be easy to cut the corner, there’s no way Gordon would of done as would of known better that’s all I’m saying
Judging by how short the front of that van is, anyone could pull out of that junction safely with a bit of care and attention.
Clearly careless driving.
