Marks & Spencer in Newport unveiled its brand-new look for customers last week.
The store re-opened its doors to local customers on 3rd October with Store Manager David Hancock cutting the ribbon alongside the company’s much-loved mascot, Percy Pig.
The top-to-bottom transformation has been designed with customers and local families at its heart, helping to make shopping in-store more convenient and inspirational.
Customers can now order the full range of M&S Clothing & Home products and pick them up in-store via the brand-new digital Click & Collect service and can opt for free next-day collection when they order online at M&S.com by 20:00.
David Hancock, Store Manager at M&S Newport, has said:
“The whole M&S team have been working really hard to deliver this new look for our store in Newport and it’s been great to hear from customers how much they love all the new features like our fantastic new M&S Bakery.
“If you call in to visit the store you’ll find a new spacious design across our Foodhall and Clothing & Home departments with great features like our new M&S Wine Shop and digital Click & Collect service which are all designed to make shopping with us as enjoyable and convenient as possible.”

Well done M&S , but can we have some more tills manned in the food sales area as we approach a very busy period
Very true.
I dislike self service tills.
Shops need to understand what customers want.
More manned tills please.
No, you can shop in a normal shop with all the actual people.
Not much good if you are limited on paying
Never actually purchased anything from M&S in £20 years, everything too expensive – t’s a store for upper classes only ( keep shopping there and you to will soon be poor ! ) – same as Waitrose – same food producers supply Asda,Lidl, Iceland etc
Exactly, it shouldn’t be allowed. What kind of society allows segregation like this? Not a good one.
one that rewards hard work and penalises the lazy
No! You have not realised. it seems expensive but what you are getting for your money, is : increased quality.
What is wrong with that the last thing i would want is to shop with Lidl and Aldi customers
What was wrong with it before? I actually don’t like the lay out. The prices have gone up, the designs are boring, colours choices, sizes, always the small sizes no long length. I’m going to give it a miss, it’s aimed at over 60s. Thanks!!
Awww diddums, you’ll have to shop with the peasants.
I am over 60 and if someone gave me a £100 there is nothing but nothing I could or would buy in M and S they have become fuddy duddy and so over priced with no concept of today’s market in either fashion or the way cloths are bought and discarded just as quick.
Their food hall may have quality food goods but costs are disproportionate to the service given or not given in-store.
I feel so sorry for all the stuck up pretentious “people” who had to shop amongst us normal people while they upgraded the posh shop. And during a time of financial crisis too. It must have been so horrible for you all. Please do get back to paying 3 times what things are worth so you can maintain your feeling of superiority.
Most gracious of you, I will continue to shop at my beloved Marks to escape the riff raff one sees at other retailers. It’s like poverty safari when I go to other food outlets, a real eye opener lol.
cannot argue there alfie – it is such a pleasant experience in waitrose and marks with so much quality to choose from at reassuringly expensive prices. Never crowded, yet busy, always stocked and they always have those items in the large portion sizes.
not sure if I even know where lidl or aldi are to be fair.
