A vehicle has left the carriageway on Whitwell Road this afternoon planting head on into a hedge.
The vehicle, that was travelling in a westernly direction towards Whitwell left the road at around 13:40 this afternoon (Saturday).
On scene, a pump from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service as well paramedics from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are working ascertain what took place.
As well as these, emergency coastguard responders are on scene to ensure the safety of the passengers due to the vehicle being on the cusp of the cliff edge.
Currently the road is open, with firefighters controlling traffic either side of the collision.
It is unknown if any injuries have been sustained at this time.
