30-year-old Harry Turnbull from Newport has been charged with criminal damage after a number of vehicles were smashed in Sandown in the early hours of Tuesday.
Turnbull, of Westminster Lane, has been charged with 2 counts of criminal damage to vehicles on Beachfield Road in the town.
As previously reported by Island Echo, a number of vehicles were targeted in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with as many as 17 cars involved in the incident.
The 30-year-old was charged by police on Tuesday and remanded in custody to appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday).
At the hearing, he was bailed by Magistrates to appear at the same court again on 10th November.
Enquiries remain ongoing into the damage caused to a number of other vehicles in the area.
