Newport High Street will be closed from 18:30 tonight (Wednesday) due to emergency works by Southern Water.
The road will be closed from its junction with St James Street to Holyrood Street – a distance of 134 metres.
Motorists should divert via St James’ Street (Lower) and Crocker Street, to connect with Holyrood Street.
The closure could be in force for up to 21 days but the work is expected to be completed as swiftly as possible.
