UPDATED: Firefighters from Newport are tackling a small chimney fire at a property in Brighstone this morning (Thursday).
1 appliance has been mobilised to Upper Lane near the junction with Hollis Drive.
The alarm was raised at 09:39.
UPDATE @ 10:30 – The chimney fire has now been extinguished using specialist equipment.
Newport Green Watch are urging Island households to ensure chimneys are swept before lighting a fire this winter.
