An East Cowes pub is set to welcome al fresco diners across Easter weekend with the launch of a one-of-a-kind fish and chip shop.
The newly refurbished Folly will be extending its current menu offering with the addition of a new garden-based food hut. Officially opening on Friday 7th April, the shop provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to celebrate Good Friday with a traditional fish and chip supper.
With warmer weeks ahead, the ‘Folly Fish and Chip shop’ will serve up a selection of seaside delights including traditional fish and chips, battered halloumi, kids nuggets and ample sides including mushy peas and curry sauce.
A full-service outdoor bar has also been added, offering a range of draught lagers, ciders, spirits, and craft ales including Greene King’s own ‘Icebreaker’.
The pub underwent a 6-figure investment project late last year which included reconfiguring the main garden space to add additional covers, a new pergola and feature fireplace. The recent garden investment alongside the outdoor serving hut provides a perfect opportunity for guests to grab a bite to eat and take in the sites of the water in a beautiful setting.
To celebrate the launch, the pub will be hosting Easter activities for the whole family, including a charity Easter egg hunt event and live music across the weekend.

The Folly Inn’s fish and chip hut will be open from Thursday to Sunday in the spring and daily throughout the summer. Its opening hours will be midday to 20:00.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but fish and chip shops already exist. They are all over the country. Nothing new here.

Good luck to anybody driving down the only road to the Folly Inn. It’ll be a minor miracle if they get there without any damage to their undercarriage. Crappiest road I’ve had the misfortune to go down – never again.
My undercarriage survived the journey intact but my overcarriage is a different story…

Unfortunately Green King do not support Island Businesses,
Just ate down there, well I didn’t as I sent it back and got a refund, was absolutely terrible, don’t waste your time and money, by far the worst place I’ve ever attempted to eat on the island
