Cowes Enterprise College has announced that Ruth Griffiths-Nash will become its new Head of School from September 2026.
Mrs Griffiths-Nash will join the school from Lift Ryde academy, which is also on the Isle of Wight and forms part of Lift Schools Trust.
She brings more than 20 years’ experience in education and has held a number of senior leadership roles, including her current position as Vice Principal for Pastoral, Safeguarding and Inclusion.
She is also Regional Safeguarding Lead for 10 schools within Lift Schools Trust across the South West.
Having built her career on the Isle of Wight, Mrs Griffiths-Nash is said to care deeply about supporting children and young people across the Island to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Ruth Griffiths-Nash, incoming Head of School at Cowes Enterprise College, has said:

“We are confident she will build positively on the strong foundations already in place at Cowes Enterprise College.”
Ruth will work closely with incoming Executive Principal Paul Slaughter and the wider leadership team in the new academic year.
