Wootton-based antique business Doreshill Farm Emporium has announced that it is to close for good at the end of November.
Located on Briddlesford Road on the outskirts of the village, the emporium was known as the Island’s largest and original vintage and antiques venue and has been run by its current owners for 7 years.
Popular among locals and visitors alike, the emporium has featured on the BBC programme Antiques Road Trip some 3 times – most recently in February 2023.
The current owners have cited personal reasons for the closure of the business.
A post on their Facebook page has said:
“I’d like to thank all our dealers for contributing to its success and our lovely loyal customers for helping us maintain that.”
Doreshill Farm Emporium will close for the last time on 30th November.
Very sad news, will miss this business.
I did read recently that as from next year business rates are going to go
through the Roof.
Sadly many more small businesses will be closing down.
In the current world we are heading towards a 2 tier society
Rich and Poor, the middle classes will no longer exist, they will either
be in the Poor Society or the Rich Society.
The real World Leaders The W E F who control the majority of the
Worlds Governments want it that way!
They hold regular meetings in Davis with World Leaders to implement
their plans.
