I really hope he going to be ok we lose to many on the roads
More bad news on our island roads…..hope the young rider is ok…
Thoughts are as always with the motorcyclist. Best wishes fella.
I would say with both , not just the motorcyclist. Whoever was at fault it affects both.
Yes, agreed, but the two wheeler will always be worse off, unprotected by a cage and airbags as we are.
Why does it take several police units to attend a traffic accident?
Keep people away from the scene until all information is collected.
3 units will be enough, the rest can deal with all the other crime going on, surely?
Because they don’t then have to fight crime etc ? With road traffic accidents either no police turn up – injuries or not or you get 1/2 dozen. Last year serious accident along Blackwater, fire and ambulance all arrived, public directing traffic, then over an hour later 5/6 blue light police car’s who then proceeded to park in middle of road blocking all traffic – how does it take over an hour on the Island to get to scene on blue lights – answer it’s way that Hampshire control dispatch them, not the front line officers. Bring back local control room please, saves time, money and possibly lives!.
maybe they came from mainland…
Totally agree since we came under Hampshire the Policing has got much worse on the Island.
stop traffic in both directions, set up some emergency cones, ask questions from the locals there and keep people away from scene… obviously you are a super human and could do all that within five minutes by yourself….
Why bother speaking if that’s all you can say . Hope the motorcyclist makes a fall recovery
Understandable to a degree but why do they equip them in the type of kit not out of place with storming an embassy.Even private security firms these days exude the…’paramilitary-vibe’ ridiculously, low level sinister for the incidents they attend.Just sayin.
Never dealt with a serious incident have you that’s very plain to see so keep quiet until you have then come back to us with an intelligent input.
