EXCLUSIVE: The owners of a missing 6ft Python in the Ryde area are appealing to locals today (Friday) to help find and safely return the pet.
The male iridescent Python named ‘Diesel’ went missing on Sunday from Southfield Gardens in Haylands but has not been seen since, sparking concerns for its owner.
The harmless pet is green in colour with a yellow under body. Green Pythons are nocturnal and spend most of their time in trees.
Residents are asked not to panic – The Python is described as a shy, timid snake and is non-venomous, but the species can be aggressive and inflict a painful wound.
Police have been informed of this incident.
Anyone who spots the Python is asked to contact the owners on 07929743709. Alternatively, you can call Police on 101 or phone the RSPCA on 01983 840287.
