A well-known men’s mental health support group on the Isle of Wight is to close, with the team behind Mindset Bros stepping in to ensure local men know they are not alone.
The founder of Mindset Bros, Ross Taylor, met with Men Only IOW’s founder Karl Hart to offer support and solidarity as the group prepares to close its doors.
Men Only IOW has provided support to men across the Isle of Wight for several years. Karl Hart has been recognised for his care, dedication and commitment to those he has helped through the service. It has been acknowledged that stepping away from such a group is never an easy decision, especially when many have come to rely on it.
Karl has asked Mindset Bros to help share a message to the local community to ensure no man feels abandoned as the service comes to an end.
Men who have attended Men Only IOW, or were considering reaching out, are being reminded that support is still available. Mindset Bros run regular ‘walk and talk’ sessions, group meet-ups and community-led events to offer safe and non-judgemental spaces for men to connect.
These sessions aim to remove pressure or expectations, offering a space where men can simply talk, listen, and not carry their struggles alone.
Mindset Bros has said that those who saw Men Only IOW as their safe place are welcome to join their events – whether as a one-off or on a regular basis. The message is not about replacing what has been lost, but about ensuring no one slips through the cracks.
The team has thanked Karl Hart for the work he has done to support men’s mental health on the Isle of Wight, and for trusting them to carry this message forward.
Anyone in need of support, connection or conversation is encouraged to attend an event or get in touch with Mindset Bros.

Just don’t attend if they arrange a meeting in a hot tub
