Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of assault in Cowes, in which a 14-year-old boy suffered a black eye.
It’s said that a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were assaulted by a man outside Sainsbury’s on High Street, Cowes at around 17:30 on 30th October.
Officers have been carrying out enquiries and are now in a position to release an image of a man they would like to speak with.
He has been described as being white, aged in his 50s, of large build with grey hair.
Police say they believe the man pictured may have information which could help with ongoing enquiries.

Yes, like the boy gave the guy a load of mouth, or he tried to get his wallet off him, or he tried to steal the guys shopping to show off in front of the girl. The guy was obviously carrying out his right to defend himself, what ever the reason, the fact that the boy was 14 is nothing to do with it. If he is old enough to attack someone or harrass someone, then he is old enough to get the result of what happens if you do it, and sod what the do gooders say. Little shit learned a lesson didn’t he.
