Firefighters from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have responded to a report of a man who had fallen and become stuck in a precarious position up a high bank this afternoon (Sunday).
The fire service mobilised several appliances from Newport and Ryde to the scene on Froglands Lane at approximately 13:35, although the crews from Ryde were stood down before arriving at the incident.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service also attended, sending 1 ambulance to assess the man for any sign of injuries sustained during his ordeal.
A swift rescue operation was carried out and the casualty was brought safely back to the ground within just minutes of the crew’s arrival.
