TEEN QUESTIONED OVER FLASHING INCIDENTS IN BRIGHSTONE AND WOOTTON


UPDATED: A teenage boy has been questioned by Police on suspicion of indecently exposing himself in public on the Isle of Wight.

As reported by Island Echo earlier this month, Police have been investigating reports of a man indecently exposing himself to a 59-year-old woman in Brighstone on 6th January.

At the time of the incident Hampshire Constabulary said they were looking at whether it was connected with similar instances of a man flashing his genitals in Wootton in 2018.

Now, acting on intelligence received from locals, officers are understood to have questioned a male in connection with the incidents in both Brighstone and Wootton.

Further information is expected to be released by Hampshire Constabulary shortly.

UPDATE @ 15:45 – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that they have arrested a 16-year-old boy from Brighstone.

He’s been released from custody but remains under investigation as enquiries continue.
