A large scale Police response to the sleepy village of Brighstone over the weekend led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man, but he will now face no further action.
Police were called shortly after 15:30 on Sunday afternoon to what has been described as a ‘domestic dispute’ at a property on Main Road, Brighstone.
No less than 6 units responded to the incident and remained on scene until at least 18:15.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and criminal damage. No one was hurt.
Hampshire Constabulary has today confirmed that the male has been released without charge and will face no further action.
In October 2021, a similar response was seen in Brighstone – believed to be to the same property.

They won’t do anything unless the other party make a complaint or they are visibly physically injured and it can be attributed to Mr Angry. We have neighbours just like this. The police turn up, tell him to leave, he comes back 5 minutes later. Repeat.
