Police raided a house on Pan Estate in Newport this morning (Friday), arresting a suspected drug dealer in the process.
Officers executed a warrant at a property on John Street, off Robin Hood Street, at around 07:00.
Following a search of the address a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession and supply of a Class A drug. He was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a prohibited weapon.
The unnamed individual remains in Police custody this afternoon.
It’s thought Hampshire Constabulary also attended a property at Cranleigh Gardens in Northwood yesterday. Officers are also reported to have been in attendance in the area of Crescent Road in Shanklin. It is unclear if these raids resulted in any arrests.
