A man and a boy were brought safely ashore this afternoon (Wednesday) after being reported to be in difficulty in the water off Ventnor Breakwater.
HM Coastguard was alerted to the incident at around 15:55, prompting the deployment of Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team.
The pair were assisted back to land before being handed into the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
