A 55-year-old man from Newport has been arrested after allegedly becoming aggressive towards staff at a fast food takeaway.
Police were called at 15:25 to reports of a man acting aggressively towards staff at McDonald’s on St James’ Street in Newport.
Officers took the male to the floor and cuffed him before transferring him into a cell van for transportation to custody.
The 55-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of common assault.

55 years old dressed like a 12 year old. No doubt under the influence of something, the usual story.
If it’s who I think it is, has a low IQ. Should have a chaperonage. So is like a 12 year old. A shame.
