Ahhhh just love our little island with no crime, no thuggery, no peado’s, no great unwashed like on the big island, glad there’s no way they can get here that easily, only by expensive pirates.
The island is a horrible place to live the people are nasty it doesn’t surprise me on oakvale
but yet you still live here. go live on the main land and you will see lt is no different anywere. we are living in the selfish generation.
Just shocked I have not seen comments “another mainlander popped over and committed the crime” this island needs to take a long hard look at itself.
Likely just more drug infighting. And it will be the same low life getting extra help with energy costs , more universal credits and likely have several clones scattered around to ensure the misery for all decent people continues for future generations.
Monkey see Monkey do,
Oakfield. ‘Nuff said.
Oiii how dare you!!!
We’ve lost a peaceful island now, and they call it enriching, diverse and progressive….
Gone are the days we had Society, now we have communities which are all riddled with crime and laws that protect the criminal and to hell for the victims of crime…
How many times have I heard the Island is years behind the mainland? Well it was only a matter of time before we caught up. I am afraid the Island is well and truly now having a considerable amount of sexual violence, knife and even gun crime. Fuelled by drugs.
The idea of being safer on the Island is now fantasy.
People have to come to terms with the fact the time has come to be far more aware, conscious and mindful of their own safety when out and about especially after dark.
People who live on the mainland have grown use to these circumstances for many years, Islanders must adjust to a changing life style.
If you don’t like it go live on the mainland?
No one knows yet what actually happened do they?? Stop speculating until you know the truth?
The 20 year old said he was carrying a knife but never intended to use it. He dropped it, then tripped over and fell on it!!!!!!!!!
This is a report I saw on Facebook……..well it must be true then….NOT!!
According to the article someone was stabbed.Thats all the truth you need
Why is it the standard answer ‘go live on the mainland’ when people compare the island now to what it was. If you were in Portsmouth and replying to would you write ‘If you don’t like it go live in Shropshire’. l was born and raised here and I, like others, have watched the steady decline of a once pleasant place where people knew everyone in their street and beyond, community spirit was strong and people pulled together, into what you have today. Yes i want the road racing and other events to come to the island, it needs these to survive, even a fixed link, but why, in your opinion, should i move to a far worse place because of a comparison?
I’m not familiar with this part of the island, is this where the benefit junkies live?.
Serves him right if he did fall over and stab himself. doesn’t seem very likely though being stabbed in the back!
