Firefighters extricated a male from a vehicle following a crash in Shanklin late last night (Thursday).
2 fire appliances from Shanklin and Newport were mobilised to Victoria Avenue at 23:14 after reports of a single vehicle on its roof were received.
Police closed the road in both directions as paramedics and fire crews attended to the casualty, who was later conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by Land Ambulance.
The male was taken out of the vehicle via the boot space.
Firefighters spent less than 45 minutes on scene near to Cliff Bridge and the crash site was cleared by around 01:00.
