A man who was acting aggressively led to a Police response and arrest at a hotel in Ryde last night (Saturday).
Officers were called to Yelfs on Union Street at 20:23 to a report that a male was behaving in an aggressive manner.
A number of officers attended the scene and arrested a male on suspicion of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress.
He was cuffed and transported to Newport Custody Centre.
A number of possessions were removed from the hotel – including a patio heater box.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the man has now been released from custody on conditional bail.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Freedom of speech is so important and for many the very fact that what their parents, grandparents and all those before had thought and said is now criminal to say is very wrong
How can views ever change unless such are openly expressed and challenged?
So people bottle up anger and release it via alcohol.
Do him for damage but not words or beliefs.

these idiots that consider theirselves eco activists wouldn’t glue theirselves anywhere if we just all ignored them and walked past. They would be begging for help to be unglued as nightfell and they got thirsty, hungry and needed the loo.
NOW that, is a great idea! It would save a small fortune in police costs etc.
