A Level 4 heat warning has been issued by local forecasters IW Met Service as 32c is expected in several locations across the Isle of Wight tomorrow (Tuesday).
The wall-to-wall sunshine currently being experienced across the garden isle is to continue throughout this week, although chief forecaster Jamie Russell says things will cool slightly to 25-28c as the week goes on. There is talk of next weekend being an absolute scorcher – with Russell confirming that the heat will build once again for the forthcoming weekend.
Before that though, Tuesday will bring temperatures of between 30-32c in central parts such as Newport and Cowes, as well as Arreton and Apse Heath. This takes the Island from a Level 3 to a Level 4 warning.
It will be cooler around the coast, especially in the East and West.
