Monday 18th September – Friday 22nd September 2023
• Peter Gardner, 64, of Cherrywood View, Arreton, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. He was handed 5 penalty points, fined £230 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £92 surcharge.
• Benjamin Hibbert, 30, of HMP Isle Of Wight pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker. He was handed a 2-week custodial sentence, concurrent to his existing sentence.
• Vicky Cunningham, 33, of Mountbatten Drive, Ryde pleaded guilty to criminal damage, possession of a controlled drug of Class A – Cocaine, possession of a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis and failing to surrender to bail. She was handed a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days attached. She was ordered to pay £85 costs, £114 surcharge and a fine of £137.
• Sean Buckland, 30, of High Street, Ryde was found guilty of obstructing/resisting a constable in execution of duty. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £300 with a £80 surcharge. He was fined a further £80 for failing to surrender to bail.
• Liam Teal, 36, of Great Preston Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £672 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £269 surcharge.
• Roland Tomlin, 46, of Terminus Road, Cowes pleaded guilty to 2 counts of theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay £391 compensation, which will be deducted from his benefits at a rate of £20 per month.
• Suresh Yadav, 37, of Shaw Drive, Walton-on-thames, Surrey pleaded guilty to drink driving (44). He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £150 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £60 surcharge.
• Finley Mulholland, 25, of West Street, Wroxall, pleaded guilty to using threatening / abusive words / behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Tobias Green, 35, of Culver Parade in Sandown admitted to 3 counts of failing to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from prison. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £60 costs.
• Danielle Jones, 27, of Castle Road in Newport was found guilty of failing to identify the driver of a vehicle. She was handed 6 points on her licence, fined £120 and ordered to pay £200 costs with a £48 surcharge.

He was ordered to pay £391 compensation, which will be deducted from his benefits at a rate of £20 per month? No, take the full amount in one go. Ridiculous sentence, it’s almost crime on credit. Toby Green at it again too and given another slap on the wrist. Same people over and over.
