The driver of a Vauxhall Insignia led Police on a pursuit after failing to stop for officers carrying out targeted patrols between Ventnor and Wroxall last night (Thursday).
Officers were patrolling the area as part of Operation Sidlaw, an ongoing effort targeting locations affected by reports of anti-social driving and excessive vehicle noise.
At around 20:00, officers spotted a vehicle of interest travelling from Ventnor towards Wroxall.
Police followed the grey Vauxhall Insignia onto Rew Lane and attempted to bring it to a stop – but the driver had other ideas.
The vehicle failed to stop and instead sped off back towards Ventnor, prompting officers to give chase.
Despite efforts to locate the Insignia, officers were unable to find the vehicle.
Enquiries continue.
So, the “vehicle of interest” drove down Rew Lane, a very narrow road with occasional passing points.
The police car followed behind and attempted to stop the Vauxhall.
Then, a miracle occurred, the Vauxhall headed back towards Ventnor, in which case it would have had to PASS the police car on THAT road!
How?
Incidents like this are becoming almost commonplace and although it can and has resulted in fatalities, the youngsters are unafraid to do it.
I understand why they do it.
They live in a world run by lunatic politicians who have no regard for their fellow citizens who abide by the law, but are happy to “accommodate” those who arrive in the UK via Europe illegally.
In fact, those politicians are more than willing to try to kill off any dissenting voices by spreading those who arrive here illegally in towns and villages throughout the UK.
Maybe these youngsters are saying that the so called “adults” in the room, whether politicians, or the likes of wightlink/sunshine, are destroying their future by doing nothing about the apparent legalisation of illegal behaviour and actively encouraging it.
Just imagine if their behaviour spread nationwide actually GOT the adults attention and made them take action as they are seemingly unafraid of being “cancelled”.
