This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

• Emma Austin, 44, of York Avenue, East Cowes – admitted multiple shop thefts between February and September 2025 involving bottles of wine and cider from Waitrose and Co-op stores across East Cowes, as well as fraud by using a stolen bank card and one count of common assault. She was sentenced to a community order lasting until November 2026, requiring 15 days of rehabilitation activity, and ordered to pay compensation totalling over £200.
• Sean Wilkinson, 33, of Halberry Lane, Newport – admitted failing to stop for police and, in a separate incident, failing to provide a specimen for analysis after being suspected of driving under the influence. He received a community order with 10 days’ rehabilitation and 120 hours of unpaid work, alongside a 3-year driving disqualification and £199 in fines and costs.
• Lewis Ross, 24, of Parkway, Ryde – admitted three separate driving offences in January and June 2025, including driving with drugs in his system, without insurance, and without a licence. He was handed a community order with 15 days’ rehabilitation, fines totalling £293, and disqualified from driving for up to 24 months.
• Jake Rollinson, 18, of Chapel Street, Newport – admitted common assault and criminal damage against a named individual in May 2025. He was sentenced to a community order with 25 days’ rehabilitation, 150 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
• Jason Jenvey, 54, of Nelson Street, Ryde – admitted stalking a woman over a three-week period by visiting her home and making unwanted contact. He was made subject to a community order with alcohol treatment for 12 months, fined £120, and made subject to a restraining order until May 2027.
• Louisa Pomeroy, 34, of Brickfield Lane, Totland – admitted two counts of drug-driving and a tyre offence across March, May and August 2025. She received a community order with 12 days’ rehabilitation and was banned from driving for 48 months. She was also fined £240 and had her driving record endorsed.
• Mark Trott, 33, of Roxton Road, Bedford – admitted drug-driving in June 2025 on York Avenue, East Cowes. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for 14 months.
• Christopher Wills, 41, of Carisbrooke High Street, Newport – admitted possession of a wrap of cocaine in June 2025. He was fined £530, ordered to pay £297 in costs and surcharge, and the drug was forfeited and destroyed.
• Christopher Williams, 42, of Fitzroy Street, Sandown – admitted stealing food worth £39.90 from Co-op in Sandown. He was ordered to pay compensation of the same amount.
• Riko Baber, 36, of Royal Exchange, Newport – admitted being drunk and disorderly in public and, in a separate incident, assaulting a police constable. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £100 compensation and £133 in costs and surcharge.
• Jordan Kent, 29, of Station Road, Brading – admitted drink-driving in Newport in October 2025. He was fined £346, ordered to pay £223 in costs and surcharge, and disqualified from driving for 18 months, reducible by completing a course.
