Medics from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) have been scrambled to a medical emergency in the West Wight this afternoon (Wednesday).
999 calls to the emergency services were made at around 14:30. Such was the severity of the situation, the assistance of HIOWAA was requested.
Having made its way south from Southampton Airport, the helicopter landed in the Stroud Recreation Ground off Stroud Road.
On the ground, flying doctors have joined resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service at an address in the Pound Green area.
