A number of small landslips over the past few days have resulted in the closure of the coastal path at Brighstone.
The Isle of Wight Council have advised that the stretch of cliff running behind Brighstone Holiday Centre is no longer safe to use.
As a result, Public Footpath BS59 – part of the Isle of Wight’s coastal path – has been closed.
To bypass this point, pedestrians will need to divert via Military Road by walking along the roadside berge between Isle of Wight Pearl and Grange Chine.
A landslip at Totland has resulted in the closure of Public Footpath T16 this week. This is also part of the coastal path.
