Fresh from the success of their 80s and 90s Christmas party nights, organisers of the hugely popular Jack Up The Summer festival are preparing to wind the clock back once more with the launch of another great retro-themed disco party.
Taking place on Saturday 22nd February, revellers are advised to dig out their flares and prepare to boogie all night long to the very best of T.Rex, Chic, Sister Sledge, Mud, Earth Wind & Fire, Abba, Boney M, Kool & The Gang, The Sweet and other amazing 70s chart toppers!
Multi-talented 5-piece band The Zoots will be performing back to back party hits as part of their smash-hit live show. The band have played more than 1,000 UK dates and performed at iconic venues like Old Trafford and the London Palladium.
If you like Grease, Saturday Night fever and the Rocky Horror picture show or are just generally up for a great feel-good party night to remember, this event is without question the one for you.
The fun-filled evening will be held at Lower Hyde in Shanklin which boasts a large ballroom with a traditional wooden dance floor and stage with custom retro video disco and effects.
Speaking of the launch of Jack Up The 70s, Event Manager Sarah Moss said:
“We were absolutely overwhelmed by the positive feedback following our November party nights and loved how attendees fully embraced the theme, many arrived sporting the most incredible fancy dress! Working with our friends at Visit IW, we are keen to organise events that not only give Islanders something to look forward to in the Winter months but to attract visitors to the Island during what is traditionally a far quieter time of year.
“We always do our best to listen to customer feedback and so many people have been calling for a 70s night, hence we’re going back the birth of disco and will be reliving a decade packed full of musical nostalgia. All of the hit singles from which will be brought to life live on stage by The Zoots who are a bunch of outstanding musicians and performers.”

A series of DJ sets with all your favourite 70’s party classics will continue through until 01:00. Doors open at 19:30.
