Four dancers from Classique Dance Studios on the Isle of Wight have returned home with more than 25 trophies after competing at the “Follow Your Dreams” Dance Championships in Kent last weekend.
Annika Marie Brown, Maisie Phillips, Kaiya Phillips and Elinor Rose Johnston impressed judges across a busy weekend of competition, performing in a variety of dance styles.
Annika Marie Brown was crowned U16 Triple Champion, while Maisie Phillips competed in the U12 Beginner category and Kaiya Phillips in the U10 Beginner category. Elinor Rose Johnston also took part in the Over 18 Starter category.
The dancers showcased their versatility by performing routines in freestyle disco, lyrical, street dance, duos and rock and roll.
It was not just the dancers who took part in the event, with parents also joining in. One proud parent secured 2nd place in a street solo competition against a field of 30 other parents.
Chanique Green, owner of Classique Dance Studios, has said:
“We are so grateful we got to attend this fabulous competition full of rainbows and unicorns. The dancers had a brilliant time.
“They worked so hard for this weekend with lots of routines to remember and I am so proud of all that they have achieved.”
Classique Dance Studios welcomes new dancers of all ages and abilities. Classes can be booked online at www.classiquedancestudios.co.uk.
