A woman who found herself injured on a beach in the West Wight had to be stretchered to an awaiting ambulance earlier this evening (Sunday).
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were requested to assist the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service at just gone 20:00.
Coastguard Officers made their way to Brambles Chine to rendezvous with the paramedic crew, who had been called to the scene by the patient.
The injured woman was placed into a stretcher and carried to the awaiting ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
Tonight’s incident is the latest in what has been a busy weekend for the Island’s 3 Coastguard Rescue Teams.
Needles CRT were back on station by 21:03.
