Police on the Isle of Wight are seeking the driver of a Ford Focus which failed to stop in Ryde yesterday (Tuesday), resulting in a short pursuit.
Officers in an unmarked car attempted to stop the silver Focus – reg ending AKO – on East Hill Road at around 10:30, but the driver had other ideas and made off from Police.
A pursuit got underway along Marlborough Road, Brading Road and Beaper Shute. It is thought that the chase was called off in the interests of safety.
Hampshire Constabulary are now appealing to members of the public to identify who was driving the vehicle, which was last seen heading towards Brading.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting 44190378247.
