Hovertravel services between Ryde and Southsea have been suspended this Friday evening due to a technical issue.
The cross-Solent operator had just 1 craft in service, but a technical fault has rendered that sole remaining Flyer inoperable.
As a result, Hovertravel has been forced to suspend their operations – just as commuters head home at the end of the week.
The service ‘went technical’ at around 17:00. An update is expected at 19:00 – but it’s unknown if services will resume at that time.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service.
UPDATE @ 20:10 – Services are to remain suspended for the rest of the day.
An update will be provided at 07:45 tomorrow morning.
UPDATE Saturday – Services have now resumed.
