Adverse weather conditions have forced the suspension of Hovertravel’s services tonight (Sunday), with the cross-Solent operator warning of anticipated disruption on Monday – something echoed by Red Funnel.
Hovertravel’s Ryde-Southsea operation has been brought to a halt due to the conditions on the Solent, with an update expected at 05:45 tomorrow morning. However, in the same breath, the firm says that disruption caused by the weather is expected on Monday morning, from 06:00.
Red Funnel is advising of possible disruption to both its vehicle ferry service and hi-speed Red Jet service on Monday. They are advising customers to check before they travel.
As it stands there are no weather warnings in place for the Isle of Wight.
