Hovertravel has suspended its Ryde-Southsea service this morning (Wednesday) due to strong winds.
The service has ground to a halt as the wind speeds exceed the safe working limits for the Flyer craft.
Hover tickers are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service to Portsmouth Harbour.
The next update is at 07:15 but it’s unclear if services will resume at that time.
UPDATE @ 14:54 – Services remain suspended with the next update due at 15:45.
UPDATE @ 16:15 – Services between Ryde and Southsea have now resumed.

However the 16:15 frm Ryde DID NOT RUN, technical issues AGAIN, been at southsea terminal for over an hour now, not impressed by this
Define “again” – cannot recall the last time they were cancelled for that reason.
