HM Coastguard was tasked to investigate reports of a possible diesel spill in Wootton Creek this afternoon (Friday).
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were called to the creek at 15:08 where teams located evidence of some diesel on the surface of the water.
Having located the spillage, the Coastguard Rescue Teams took details and took photographs to which were passed onto the relevant authorities.
Teams stood down from the incident shortly after.
