UPDATED: Hovertravel, Wightlink and Red Funnel are all experiencing delays and cancellations as a result of the adverse weather conditions this afternoon (Saturday).
The cross-Solent hovercraft service between Ryde and Southsea has been suspended all day, save for a very short period at lunchtime when a return crossing was completed. The next update will be provided at 15:45.
Red Funnel’s hi-speed Red Jet service has been hit by cancellations with the 14:45 from Cowes and the 15:15 from Southampton both cancelled, as well as the 15:45 from Cowes.
Meanwhile at Yarmouth, Wightlink’s car ferry service is also seeing cancellations with the 16:05 from Yarmouth pulled. Earlier this afternoon the 14:05 was cancelled.

UPDATE – Hovertravel services remain suspended this evening, with an update expected at 18:15.
Due to continued high wind on the Solent, Wightlink will be operating an adjusted timetable on their Yarmouth-Lymington route for the rest of the day.
