Emergency services – including 2 helicopters – have been scrambled to the beach in Sandown were a person has collapsed and is receiving CPR.
Coastguard Rescue 175 and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance are both in attendance, alongside paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, close to Sandown Pier.
HM Coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor are on scene, alongside Police and Sandown Beach lifeguards.
The beach has been cleared of holidaymakers to allow medics to tend to the patient, who is said to have been pulled from the water.

I can’t understand why anyone wants to expose themselves to these high temperatures on a beach, you have to be young and fit….more will get into trouble soon…
