Forecasters are warning that temperatures will plummet next week, bringing the risk of snow and ice across the Isle of Wight.
If things weren’t complicated enough with coronavirus, IW Met Service are advising tonight (Tuesday) that things will turn from warm and sunny to cold and icy from this weekend onwards.
The weather will turn much colder over the weekend bringing with it the risk of wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow. It will be bitterly cold over the weekend and during the start of the new week.
Any wintry showers or icy conditions could cause a headache for emergency planners and key workers alike, throwing a spanner into the works at what is already a challenging time for everyone.
Snowfall in March is not uncommon with the last major snow blanket on the Island hitting us in March 2018.
Further details are expecting in the coming days.

Burst pipes, no water, car accidents, Ducks frozen in ponds, power cuts as everyone home using heating and energy, and not even able to buy a carrot for the snowmans nose.
Enjoy the so few sunny hours left.
I know, let’s all hold our breath till we pass out!
The Met Office are actually giving the lowest temperatures as 4 degrees in the early hours of Monday morning.
A persistent northerly breeze gives it a ‘Feels like’ or wind chill rating of -1 degree, yes very cold but that’s all.
Great ,this will lead people to do more panic buying
