Firefighters from Ryde were mobilised to reports of an out-of-control bonfire in the village of Nettlestone late last night (Wednesday).
1 retained appliance was mobilised at 22:40 to Park Lane, close to West Priory Cottages.
The crew discovered a well alight bonfire which had become out-of-control. It took well over an hour to extinguish the blaze.
A concerned member of the public raised the alarm after spotting the flames.
