Emergency services have been mobilised to a road traffic collision at Falcon Cross in Shanklin this evening (Sunday).
A car and motorcycle are reported to be involved in the incident, which occurred shortly before 18:15.
1 fire appliance from Shanklin is currently in attendance alongside paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Police are also on scene.
UPDATE @ 19:10 – The vehicle involved is understood to be a taxi.
UPDATE @ 20:30 – The motorcyclist has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, although their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A considerable amount of fuel was seen leaking from the taxi involved in the collision.
Emergency services have now stood down from the incident.





























































































well that is one dangerous crossing @falcon crossroads…people drive down regent st most of the never look down clarendon road ….thinking its ok to drive across …. to slow the down the need to put humps on clarendon rd and in regent st…..it wil slow those mad driver here on the isle of wight
