The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have responded to a call out at a block of flats in Cowes this evening (Saturday) – but the incident has been deemed a false alarm.
3 appliances – 2 from Newport and 1 from East Cowes – were mobilised to Medina Road at around 19:50 over fears a fire had started at a luxury block of flats near the floating bridge.
Thankfully, the incident was quickly deemed a false alarm and all appliances were stood down by 20:15.
