UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at an address in the centre of Newport this afternoon (Friday), where crews have entered a property with a hose reel.
1 appliance has pulled up on Lower St James’ Street between Hunnycross Way and Crocker Street.
Firefighters were called to the scene at around 15:50 and have utilised a 4×4 spare appliance amid today’s snowy conditions.
UPDATE @ 16:17 – It has been confirmed that a small electrical fire broke out shortly before 16:00.
Engineers from SSE have been requested to attend the address to make the property safe.
