The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are battling to rescue a fallen horse near Freshwater this morning (Saturday).
Appliances from Newport and Freshwater, including the Animal Rescue Unit from Newport, are currently on scene at Willingham Lane.
The elderly, large horse is being helped back onto its feet by firefighters, with the assistance of a local vet.
The alarm was raised just before 10:00.
