FIREFIGHTERS ASSIST IN MOVING FEMALE PATIENT FOLLOWING MEDICAL INCIDENT

Firefighters from Freshwater and Newport assisted in extricating a woman from a property at Norton Grange near Yarmouth this afternoon.

2 appliances, each with a full compliment of crew, and the Freshwater-based Co-Responder were mobilised to the complex following a request for assistance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.

The services worked together to safely extricate the female adult patient from the property and into the awaiting ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital.
