Fears of a fire developing at a block of flats in Sandown prompted a sizeable response from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service earlier this morning (Saturday).
3 appliances from Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde were mobilised alongside an aerial ladder platform and the Incident Command Unit to Yarborough House, Fort Mews shortly before 07:00.
The first crew on scene were able to quickly determine the cause of the alarm, which Island Echo is told was a heater in a communal hallway.
The incident was quickly scaled back and all appliances had left the scene by 07:10.
So nothing happened then?
Nothing to do with the big party Friday night then that everyone was talking about on the bus Thursday night? Thought it was warden assisted at Yarborough house?
